Emergency Telecommunicator Course (ETC)

This course was created in association with Jones and Bartlett, the
National Emergency Number Association (NENA), and the National
Academy of Emergency Dispatch (NAED). It was significantly expanded
and redesigned in 2007 by the NAED. The Emergency Telecommunicator
Course is a 40-hour course which covers all of the basics of the industry.
This course is designed for the relatively new dispatcher although several
veteran dispatchers who were seeking NAED certification enjoyed it as a
refresher and re-motivator.
This 13 chapter course introduces students to the exciting and challenging
field of Emergency Telecommunications. This course covers:
