Manager, Training Coordinator and Instructor. Deborah
retired as 911 Coordinator in 2003 after a 25 year career
in public safety dispatching. Deborah is certified through
the NAED as an Emergency Telecommunicator Course
Instructor. She also has developed a successful 911
training program for a community college . She is
dedicated to her profession by providing or facilitating
quality training for fellow 911 Professionals.

Jim is a Master's level psychologist (limited
licensed,Michigan) and Director of MasterCare Institute in
Petoskey, Michigan. Jim specializes in relationship
therapy, the effects of trauma in personal and workplace
relationships and their impact on 911 personnel.
Jim holds a Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Psychology
from Wheaton College in Illinois.

Lieutenant Ron Achtenberg, Paramedic
Ron brings 24 years of fire service experience currently
serving as lieutenant for Redford Township Fire Depart-
ment. Ron has been involved with many forms of training
and currently contributes his expertise in the fire
communications portion of the Emergency
Telecommunicator Course. Ron holds a B.A. from
Michigan State University.
