Survive & Thrive in the Emotional Terrain of the 911 Center™
One-Day Seminar
This training was especially designed to empower dispatchers to handle the
extraordinary demands unique to the 911 center. “Survive & Thrive” was co-developed
by James Marshall, a Michigan therapist who specializes in trauma, stress
management, and relationships (communication and conflict resolution), and his sister,
Deborah, a veteran dispatcher. This training has been attended by dispatchers from
Michigan to California. The feedback has been remarkable. After attending this training
it is our hope that when you are back in your communities you will truly feel more
encouraged and empowered to serve people and take good care of yourself. ”Survive &
Thrive™” helps dispatchers learn about how their emotions, thought processes and
personal needs shape their minute-to-minute dispatch experiences and the group
dynamics of the 911 staff.
This lively and highly interactive course inspires participants and equips them with the
tools necessary to:
- Promote healthy relationships and group dynamics in the 911 center
