Crisis Helplines
The Old School way of dealing with pain, just "sucking it up" didn't work. It's your turn for help now.
It's hard to reach out for help...
especially for public-safety dispatchers, who work so hard to take care of everyone else. Traditionally, most 9-1-1 centers have been housed inside local law enforcement agencies. As a result, those 9-1-1 centers have adopted a paramilitary model of operations and dispatchers have embraced an old-school emotional code of "Suck it up!" Sadly, this emotional code has likely contributed to sustained suffering among too many dedicated first-responders.
If you, or someone you care about, is in crisis right now...
please consider reaching out to one of the organizations below who are ready to help you 24/7/365. 911TI receives no compensation for referring you to them nor do we guarantee their services. We just vetted all the available resources and chose those we felt most trustworthy. The main thing is this: if your gut says it's time to reach out, then do it! Connect with which ever organization you feel most comfortable.
