Mike Tackett is a Resilience and Call Mastery Instructor and Consultant with expertise in crisis management and leadership.

Mike has 33 years of law enforcement experience in dispatch and field operations. He has worked in roles as a dispatcher, dispatch supervisor, police officer, Sergeant, Lieutenant, Investigations Commander, and Chief of Police. While he was the Chief of Security at a large hospital, he transitioned dispatch to Security Police Dispatch and held titles of Local Administrative Security Officer, Public Service Answering Point Supervisor, and Law Enforcement Information Network Terminal Agency Coordinator.     

Mike has worked in the crisis management field for over 25 years. He is licensed mental health professional, certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, with expertise in treating first-responders.  Mike also holds an MBA from Madonna University and is a graduate of Northwestern Police Staff and Command. 

Mike is very passionate for the emergency communications dispatch community. His passion began with his mother, who is a 30-year dispatch retiree, and continued with his wife, who has 29 years of service as an emergency dispatcher.
