The best answers to these questions are based on current suicidology principles that are customized to the role of 9-1-1 professionals. This course teaches core concepts to help 9-1-1 professionals identify and de-escalate difficult mental states that will help improve the caller’s ability to cooperate, ensuring a safe outcome for all involved.

In this course, we explore the complex psychological terrain of domestic violence to give 9-1-1 professionals better insight and the ability to relate to callers. We provide dispatchers with the tools they will need to connect with callers and gain critical information to help establish a safe scene for everyone involved.
